Answers

What is the maximum number of people allowed in the Cottage?

• The Cottage holds 10 people in 4 bedrooms.  We also provide a fold down Travel Cot for babies.

Are smoking or pets allowed?

• We would ask our guests to please smoke outside.  We may allow dogs but you must have our agreement firstly and it may involve a small "Pet Fee"

How far away are the beaches?

• Reen Cottage is within walking distance of a stoney local beach which is ideal for an evening walk.  The main beach that I recommend for families is Ballyrisode Beach which is a mere 3 minutes by car.  It is a really safe, tidal beach with no shelve or rip tides.  It is fantastic for kids who like Rock Pools and Shrimping!  For a stunningly beautiful beach but I feel not ideal for very young kids, you must try Barleycove which is about 15 minutes from the Cottage by car.  

Does the Cottage back onto other properties/walls etc?

• Absolutely not.  There is no house within 200 metres and absolutely nothing behind us except a beautiful view.

Is Reen Cottage quiet and private?

• Reen Cottage is probably one of the quietest and most private Cottages you could visit!

How do we locate/enter the property?

• Directions and instructions for key pick up are supplied once your final balance is paid.

Will we have to bring bed linen/towels etc.?

• All linen is provided as part of your rent.  Towels can be made available for an additional charge.

Do you have any facilities for small children?

• The Cottage is well equipped for small children.  Cot/Cribs, & highchair await you on arrival.  The nearest road is 150 mtrs away and is gated.  There are two acres of land directly around the Cottage for the children to play in.

What entertainment is provided?

• For young children there are some games, plus we also have a DVD player.  We also have Sky and the kids channels.

Is there a local shop?

• There is a local shop Jermyns only three minutes walk from the Cottage.  It is a fantastic "olde worlde" Irish Country shop run by Mrs. Jermyn.  As you would expect basic provisions only are provided such as Bread, Milk, Papers etc.  Your main shopping will be donw most likely in Schull which is only 8 minutes drive from the Cottage.

Are there any restaurants nearby?

• There is a  new restaurant Antonio's, which opens for the main Holiday season, only a few hundred metres from the Cottage.  Many other Restaurants exist within reasonable driving distance. 

Are there any medical services nearby?

• Hopefully you will not need this, but Doctors are available in Schull and Goleen with a Hospital in Bantry, which is 25 kms away.

What services are provided?

• The house is professional cleaned prior to your arrival.

Are there any hidden extras?

• No, you pay up front for Oil & Electricity in addition to the rental at Euro 50 pw in the summer and Euro 75 pw in the Winter
